Have you ever wondered why God created us? Why he sent His Son, Jesus to save us? What was the purpose behind all of this? While some may wonder why or how these questions are relevant, answers to these questions are essential in understanding and knowing God, His plan and purpose for our lives.
Knowing God and knowing Him intimately and personally helps us to lead a life of victory and peace. Let’s be real, we all want peace, joy, prosperity, victory, favor, abundance, the list goes on to lead a blessed and prosperous life. Especially, in these troubled times we need these blessings more than ever. Faith and prayer is the path to having these blessings. The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God. Jesus said that if you have the faith of the size of a mustard seed then you can say to this mountain to be moved and it shall be done. So, how can we have this kind of faith. I struggled in this area until I found out that God is willing and to give whatever I ask according to His word because He loves me. But for me to activate this faith and to live a life of victory, I needed to focus on God’s love for me.
When we truly understand God’s heart, know him personally and believe that God loves us and that He wants us to live the abundant victorious life He has in store for us. This takes us back to the original question, Why God created us? The answer to this is the same reason why young married couples want to start a family and have children. It gives them great pleasure and joy. God created us because it gave him pleasure. He wanted to commune with us and have fellowship with us. He wanted a relationship with us. It is the same way parents want to have a relationship with their children and enjoy them. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my children happy. It pleases me to do things for them, bless them with good gifts, and make their lives easy. It’s the same with our heavenly Father. He wants to please us, bless us with good gifts, and do life with us.
When Satan tricked Adam and Eve in the garden, that relationship was broken. God is holy. So, nothing unclean can come close to God and in His presence or they will die. It broke God’s heart that we were separated from Him. He could’ve let us die in that state. But, that was not His heart or intention for us. He had a redemption plan. He sent the second Adam, Jesus, who was without sin to give his life to save mankind.
But why? Why didn’t He let us die in that state? Adam and Eve sinned and deserved the punishment because of their disobedience. Let’s draw some parallelism with our own children. Which good parent would let their child die because they disobeyed. We would do everything within our power to save our child even if that meant laying down our own lives. Why would we do that? Because we love our children unconditionally. Nothing can change that. No matter how undeserving or disobedient they are, we still will do everything within our power to save them.
So, why do we love them so much? We love them because we created them and were responsible for bringing them into this world. They belong to us. They are a part of us. It is the same with God. He wanted to redeem us and not let us die because He loves us unconditionally, He created us and we belong to Him. He is responsible for us. Hence, he sent His son Jesus to die for us so that we can be saved.
Jesus’ sacrifice is not just for us to enter heaven and have eternal life. He died so that we could have the same heaven like experience here on earth. To restore the same blessings and victory that we lost in the garden. This way our lives can be a light to others, and we can be a blessing to others and fill this earth and share God’s love with others.
My goal here is to encourage and inspire the readers that they can approach God boldly. Whatever problem you are facing today, God is always ready to help because He loves us and He wants to be good to us.
I conclude this post with these reminders –
God is Holy
God is Good
God is our father; He created us.
We belong to God
God loves us
Nothing can separate us from God and His love for us.
God is for us and not against us
No matter what we did or didn’t do, His love remains unchanged. We are His.
He will do anything to help you and solve your problems.
His will for you to live a victorious life here on earth and to have eternal life in heaven.
He will never give up on US.
When in doubt, always mediate on these points and see how faith rises in your heart to receive your miracle you have been waiting for!
